Since 2008, ICA has seen an increase of over 112% in food services and now gives out 134% more food. In 2012, we gave out a record breaking 1.6 million pounds of food (on average 130,000 pounds per month) and currently, our services are at an all-time high, with over 800 families receiving groceries from ICA per month. We are encountering more and more families where job loss, under-employment, pay cuts, or loss of medical coverage have hit hard and as a result they need rent, mortgage or utility assistance.
