Local food shelves make 'dash' for donations

A mad dash at the grocery store is highlighting a serious need in the Twin Cities. How many groceries can you fit into a cart when you only have three minutes? 

A group of local mayors did pretty well Tuesday morning during the annual food dash at Shorewood Cub Foods. They ran through the store filling their carts with the most expensive items possible. 

With matching donations, the groceries totaled about $10,000. The money will be used to stock local food shelves facing a greater need than ever.
