We’ve added five sites for Emergency Bag Distribution. Stop by one of the locations below for an emergency food bag filled with shelf-stable essentials. No appointment needed.

NEW: Curbside Pre-Packed Food
We’re launching our Curbside Pre-Packed Food option, where clients can make an appointment for pre-packed food through drive up at our K-Tel site. These appointments will be offered on Thursdays from 6-8 pm and Fridays from 10-12 pm. This will count as one of the two appointments available for clients each month.

Appointments will be available six days prior to the appointment slot. Check back for open spots.
Clients can choose from the following bag options (select up to six). Clients can choose one or two bags of each frozen item, totaling 2 bags.
1. Pantry Staples (flour, oil, sugar, condiments, salt and pepper, spaghetti sauce, chicken broth, etc.)
2. Dairy + Lettuce (eggs, margarine, milk, lettuce)
3. Whole Vegetables (sweet potatoes, onions, potatoes, carrots, bell peppers)
4. Fruit (apples, pears, oranges)
5. Frozen - Beef (ground beef, hot dogs, corn, green beans)
6. Frozen - Chicken (chicken legs/breasts, corn, green beans)

ICA is partnering with schools across Hopkins and Minnetonka to provide food support. School staff can provide weekend bags (shelf stable, easy to make food and snacks for the weekend, distributed on Fridays) and emergency bags (shelf table food items for the whole family). Connect with your school counselor.

ICA has in school markets for families at Alice Smith, Gatewood, and Hopkins West Middle School. Appointments are helpful but not necessary. Learn more about our school market programs at this link.

Lutheran Social Services (LSS): LSS provides free budget counseling, debt management plans and financial education. Give them a call at 888-577-2227.

Women, Infants and Children (WIC): WIC is a food and nutrition for pregnant and breastfeeding women, infants and children up to five years old. Call 612-348-6100.

Metro Mobility: For individuals with disabilities who, because of a disability, are unable to ride the city bus. Families can also utilize Metro Mobility for ICA appointments. Call 651-484-8241.
Transit Link: Available in parts of the region not served by frequent regular transit routes. Anyone may use Transit Link, although there is an associated cost. Call 651-602-5465.
Metro Transit Transit Assistance Program (TAP): The TAP program offers qualified riders a Go-to Card that allows you to ride for $1 per trip for a full year. Call to enroll at: 952-938-0729.
