It doesn’t get better than this! Earlier this summer, Anja, Isla, Wesley and Calvin stopped-by our office to donate some cash and birthday bags to ICA. In fact, for the second consecutive year, these four Excelsior kids raised all the funds by operating a lemonade stand during the summer. We’re so proud of your efforts!

Last week, a group of kids at Minnetonka United Methodist Church spent the afternoon assembling handmade birthday bags for ICA. Their donation ensures that families visiting ICA will have the opportunity to bring home something special for their children with upcoming birthdays. Thank you so much! 🧡

Look at these amazing kids! 🤩👏 A MAJOR shoutout to Edina Cub Scout Pack 3068 for recently collecting and donating over 750 pounds of food to ICA! Our demand is still at a record level, which means every food and household donation is so important right now. Thank you for your support!

Talk about spreading the love! 😍🥰 Our community supporters at Monteris Medical are in the midst of a multi-week food drive for ICA to celebrate Valentine's Day. Here's their latest progress picture with a couple days still left to go. We can't thank you enough! ❤️

Appreciation post for longtime ICA supporter Kare 11’s Belinda Jensen! ❤️ This holiday season, Belinda and friends (the "Solstice Lunch Girls") helped raise funds for ICA. Their contribution will go a long way toward helping local families find long-term stability. Way to go, ladies!! 👏👏

12-year-old Zoey stopped by yesterday to deliver donations from her annual ICA food drive. This year, she was able to give 552 pounds of food and over $500 to help support our ongoing work. Over the years, her annual food drive donations to ICA total over 6,600 pounds! Give this girl a shoutout in the comments for a job well done!! 👏💯

Look at this! A BIG thank you to Gabe Rosenberg, a junior at Breck School, for coordinating a diaper drive for ICA. Gabe collaborated with his choir community and in total they collected over 1,300 diapers and nearly 3,000 wipes! Way to go!

Way to go, Mill City, a Division of City & County Credit Union! They included ICA in their spring Shred Day event and encouraged participants to donate funds or items for our food shelf. Thanks you so much to everyone who participated!

Check out the amazing work being done by fifth graders at Deephaven Elementary! In January 2022, they coordinated a food/fund drive that resulted in 2,700 items and $400 donated to ICA. The students in charge are part of Deephaven's Student Leadership Program. We appreciate your efforts so much. Great job!

Look at this wonderful trio of college students that were busy supporting ICA on Halloween night. Kacy and her friends went trick or treating to collect canned goods for the food shelf. As part of their “Scare Away Hunger” food drive, the group was able to collect some cash and a cooler full of non-perishable items for ICA. After having so much fun, they now plan on making their Halloween collection an annual event!

This will be sure to warm your heart. 11-year-old Zoey stopped by the food shelf in late October to donate items as part of her annual "Don't Get, Give" food drive. Every year for her birthday, Zoey collects food and household items and then donates them to ICA. This year, her donations total 919 pounds. Across 11 years, her annual donations to ICA total over 6,100 pounds! We can't thank you enough for your continued kindness!

Soulaire and the team at Bad Rooster Truck dropped off nearly 1,500 pounds of food and household items that were donated at their food drive. Thank you Back Channel Brewing for hosting the food drive, thank you Bad Rooster for taking the initiative and THANK YOU to our amazing community for your generosity!

Quinci is an IB diploma candidate at Minnetonka High School. For her Creativity, Activity, and Service Project (CAS project) she built a raised garden bed. Once the produce was ready to be collected, she held a food drive with her swim and dive team and donated all the fresh and non-perishable food to the ICA Food Shelf.

A HUGE thank you to the team at Edco Products Inc for holding a back-to-school snack drive for ICA earlier this month. Thanks to some amazing team work, they were able to collect and donate nearly 300 pounds of food that will go directly to families in our area. Great work!

🎶 Workin' at the car wash! 🎶 Check out these amazing kids from the Calvary-Minnetonka youth group. They got together and held a car wash fundraiser for ICA! Members of the community were able to get a fresh wash, while also supporting our neighbors through food and monetary donations. In total, their event brought in over $800 and plenty of non-perishable food items. Thank you SO MUCH for banding together and making a difference right here in our community!

THANK YOU St Therese Church! We were overjoyed to receive a generous donation of birthday bags earlier this week. We're proud to offer these bags to neighbors that come to us and have an upcoming birthday in their family. Each bag contains party essentials like cake mix, icing, candles, plates and napkins. Thanks to the amazing community at St. Therese, our stockpile is totally full again!

This will be sure to warm your heart on a chilly December morning! 💖 We had a pair of two-year-old twins, Violet and Sophia, come into the office with their mom to drop off a number of donations for ICA. 53 pounds in total!! We truly have the best supporters... young and old alike 😉

A HUGE shoutout and thank you to the Fingerhut team for purchasing nearly 3,000 pounds of food and assembling them into emergency bags for ICA! Your efforts will have a major positive impact on all of our neighbors that come to us for assistance. Great work!! 👏😎

Way to go, kids! 🤩👏 In July 2022, Abby and Jacob organized a lemonade stand for ICA and brought in $85 to help support our work. We couldn't be more proud of your efforts! ❤️

Way to go, Groveland Elementary Girl Scouts! In late April 2022, these dedicated girls braved the chilly conditions and participated in the ICA Sleep Out. In total, they raised over $2,100 to support ICA's homelessness prevention work. We're so proud of your efforts!

Help ICA reach our March Campaign goal of raising $150,000 and 150,000 pounds of food! A major thank you to Applewood Pointe Minnetonka for your recent efforts. Not only did they donate over 650 individual after school snacks (pictured above), but they later brought in $1,135 and 104 pounds of food to our K-Tel facility. We appreciate your hard work and generosity!

In February 2022, families from St. Therese Catholic School in Deephaven came together to donate “birthday kits” to ICA. In total, the group put together 174 bags that included a pan, cake mix, frosting, plates/napkins, and candles. Your efforts are so greatly appreciated by our neighbors!

A big thanks to Dawn Paul for organizing a food drive for ICA Food Shelf. Dawn manages a local Dick’s Sporting Goods and she recently collected food donated to multiple locations in the area. In total, her efforts yielded 400 pounds of food for ICA. Way to go, Dawn!

Thank you Mill City, a Division of City & County Credit Union, for including ICA Food Shelf in Shred Days! “We believe in being a part of something bigger than ourselves. We’re so proud to carry out this mission in our Shred Days partnership with ICA Food Shelf. In exchange for free shredding services, Mill City members donated non-perishable food and personal hygiene items to help stock ICA Food Shelf,” explains Community Engagement Specialist Lucie Misfeldt.

Tommy’s Tonka Trolley was generous enough to include ICA in their closing day event. ICA Food Shelf volunteers were scooping free ice cream, while freewill donations were accepted for the food shelf. Thanks to the beautiful weather, Tommy’s Tonka Trolley even stayed open beyond their normal hours!

This summer, the team at Pet Stuff in Minnetonka saw that ICA was in need of canned dog food and they organized a food drive to help! Throughout the month of August, when customers purchased a can of Merrick dog food, Pet Stuff matched their effort and donated a can to the ICA Food Shelf. In the end, 1,092 cans of dog food were donated to ICA. Thank you for supporting our four-legged friends!

Looking to find a way to serve the community, Minnetonka Bantam B2 Hockey team worked together to bring in 348 pounds of food and hygiene items. We love when our local athletes get involved!

MTO Shahmaghsoudi knew they wanted to find a way to give back during Eid-al-Adha. So, what better way to do so than to host a huge food drive! We couldn’t believe it when this group showed up with more than 700 pounds of food and hygiene items, all packaged in perfectly organized boxes. Thank you MTO for giving back!

Inspired to make a change, Cub Scout Troop #68 brought in over 1,900 pounds of food and we couldn’t be more overjoyed seeing our youth accomplish such a successful food drive.

Longtime supporters Gethsemane Lutheran Church gathered together in early spring 2021 to collect food for ICA based on our current needs. Fun fact — did you know sardines are one of our most popular items? This group brought in 532 pounds of food and collected enough sardines to last us until summer time!

Tanglen Elementary School organized a food drive and brought in 1,690 boxes of cereal. What makes their drive unique? The cereal boxes lined the entire school and were toppled over just like a life-sized domino game! Watch the video here.

When this group of teens heard there were specific needs at the food shelf and they themselves still needed additional time to finish up their presidential service hours, they took it upon themselves to create neighborhood food drives! If you find food drive fliers on your door step, that is the work of these kids who are canvassing neighborhoods and doing weekly food drives for ICA. Great work kids!
